Oct. 2, 2025: Criminally charged with being an illegal alien in possession of firearms.
The entire Des Moines School Board needs to resign immediately for allowing this man to lead the school district.
This is absolutely unacceptable.
How the heck did an illegal become Superintendent?
🚨 Sources close to the law firm representing Des Moines Public Schools internally believes Superintendent Ian Roberts is in serious trouble.
According to their own immigration attorneys—who are described as very liberal—Roberts lied on his I-9 about his citizenship, and serious questions are being raised about the validity of his other credentials.
Among the red flags:
And the kicker? His deportation order was issued in May 2024… by the Biden administration.
A Democrat administration thought this man should have been deported.
Now Democrats are painting him as a martyr of Trump’s immigration policies.
It’s beyond parody.

Former Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf destroys Democrats narrative on Ian Roberts, the illegal superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools making $300,000+ per year arrested by ICE
“So when they enter this individual’s information into their system in order to get paid, to pay taxes all sorts of red flags should’ve been prompted there.”
“It begged the, the further question of the amount of illegal aliens that are here in the United States working in everyday jobs and some of them, like this individual who has a possession charge, has other criminal acts on their record.”
“And to be so close to schoolchildren”
🚨 Des Moines Superintendent Ian Roberts has been registered as a DEMOCRAT since 2012 in Maryland.

Sources close to the law firm representing Des Moines Schools say that the Roberts carries a Maryland ID available to certain visa holders (F, J, or M categories).
Okay, let me see if I understand this one:
A senior ICE official tells that today, ICE arrested the Superintendent of Des Moines, Iowa Public Schools, Dr. Ian Andre Roberts, who ICE says is an illegal alien from Guyana & and active ICE fugitive with a deportation order since May 2024. Dr. Roberts fled from ICE agents in his car once they ID’d themselves as immigration agents, speeding away, then abandoning the car. He was found in a brushy area 200 yards away with the help of an Iowa State Police K9. Per ICE official, agents found a loaded gun, a “fixed blade hunting knife”, and $3,000 cash in Dr. Robert’s vehicle.
Per senior ICE official, Roberts first entered the U.S. in 1999 on a F-1 student visa at St. John’s University was ordered removed from the United States on May 22, 2024, with proceedings being held in absentia. On April 24, 2025, an Immigration Judge in Dallas, TX denied a Motion to Reopen his immigration case.
Dr. Roberts also has a weapons arrest in 2020, though the disposition of that charge/case is currently unclear.
More details as they come…
(Mugshot is from prior arrest).

Here’s the Board Chair: Jackie Norris — former Chief of Staff to Michelle Obama.

Ian Andre Roberts’ base salary of $270k comes with plenty of bennies. As per the Des Moines Register:
“The district will provide him with a payment to a “tax-sheltered annuity” of 14% of his annual salary and $600 per month for a car allowance and reimbursement for “all in-district related travel,” the contract states.
desmoinesregister.com/story/news/edu…

From where I sit, that brings him well over $300k. Oh — and the selection process was done “in secret” so as to select “the best candidate.”

And of course, a goal, again as per the Des Moines Register, “Roberts will face a number of challenges as the district continues to roll out programs and curricula focused on equity in education and improving student outcomes while implementing laws that impact what can be taught in Iowa schools.”
You see it, right? “Equity in education.”
The Register puts it so: “… Roberts has been chosen as Des Moines Public Schools’ next leader at a time when Iowa schools are navigating new laws restricting curriculum, books and the rights of LGBTQ students.”
“Restricting.” Right.
And we wonder why our kids can’t read, write, or do math, know no history, and can’t hold a candle to kids overseas who are taught to do all these things. All this “equity” ain’t working… for kids of any demographic.
So congrats to the Des Moines School Board. Great vetting, folks. You could’ve worked for Alejandro Mayorkas.
He never even had a work authorization!
Jackie Norris (former Michelle Obama Chief of staff and Des Moines School Board Chair is now running for U.S. Senate in Iowa:

Illinois Democrats Avow Adopting New Taxes in October Legislative Session
The Illinois departure tax and $1.50 ‘per’ package delivery tax may be back, sooner than later.
Two Illinois Democrats say they ‘will’ pass a $771 million dollar tax and fee package in October to bail out Brandon Johnson’s Chicago mass transit system.
The Democrats appeared Thursday afternoon webcast sponsored by the Lincoln Forum and the Union League Club of Chicago.
Democrats Rep. Buckner (upper right) and Sen. Ram Villivalam (lower left) said that there ‘will’ be a vote, and a positive ‘yes’ vote, later this fall.
Democrat JB Pritzker, would most likely sign the legislation to shore up his support in Democrat controlled Chicago
The legislation may involve the Illinois exit/departure tax and the $1.50 per package delivery tax (AKA: “The Amazon Tax”).
The Exit tax is a tax you would have to play to sell your house in Illinois. The Package tax is a new tax that would add $1.50 on every delivery to your home. (Doordash, Groceries, Amazon, UPS, Walmart, etc….). The entire state of Illinois would pay these taxes to fund the City of Chicago.
History: These two tax proposals passed the Democrat controlled Illinois senate in the spring, but the bill did not make it until the Illinois house until 11:47pm on the last day of the legislative session, and thus did not get a vote in the Illinois house before midnight. Legislators plan to bring back discussion of new taxes in Illinois’ October Veto session in Springfield
