Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration held at Kennedy School. The event is always filled with happiness and joy for both adults and children alike.
It was moving to see the number of former District 81 students return to Kennedy School last night. As one attendee said, “You’re never too old for Dr. Seuss Night.”
I am filled with great pride to know that District 81 has the opportunity to partake in such a memorable event that has become one of the most anticipated traditions in the community. With the Mayor of Schiller Park, several village trustees and five Board of Education members participating, and many men and women from the dedicated fire and police departments the community came together last night to create a memory for a child that they will always cherish.
